Hermit later says to Vi, "You look like your sister! Er, wait, I'm not supposed to talk about that.".Other servers showed her antagonizing other champions, such as Lucian. Incidentally, Jinx only antagonized Vi specifically on English-speaking servers.Though there was never any implication that the sister was Vi, players equated Jinx's antagonisation of Vi specifically as "sisterly bonding".
The reference to this on Jinx's release was her quote, "You think I'm crazy? You should see my sister". Before the release of Arcane, Vi and Jinx were often theorized by the community to be sisters.
While Jinx's real name, Powder, was only officially confirmed in the Arcane universe, 4 Ekko calls her Powder in his Legends of Runeterra interactions with 4 Jinx. Jinx appeared for the very first time during Pool Party 2013 (Her head can be barely seen next to Pool Party Renekton in Pool Party Graves' artwork, and the corresponding login screen at the time was drawn from her first-person view). In Arcane, the design of the young Jinx, Powder, may have been inspired by the manga/anime film character White (シロ, Shiro) from Tekkonkinkreet and 2-D from Gorillaz, the latter of whom worked for Fortiche Productions in creating a publicity video for this virtual music band. Katie 'TeaTime' De Sousa stated Jinx was inspired by the Batman villain the Joker, Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, and Helena Bonham Carter. Prior to her reveal, Robert 'Ransom' Lo described Jinx's personality as 'unique' and her hair color as 'one only a single champion has'. Jinx's production name was Psycho Arsenal. Jinx's Japanese voice actor is Sumire Uesaka, whom also voices her in the Japanese dub of Arcane. Young Jinx is voiced by Mia Sinclair Jenness. Jinx is voiced by Ella Purnell in Arcane. Star Guardian Jinx, Odyssey Jinx in " Odyssey: Extraction" announcers and in the "Odyssey" event trailer " Welcome Aboard," are voiced by the same actress. Jinx is voiced by Sarah Anne Williams in League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and the Tales of Runeterra short " True Genius.". Development Main article: Jinx (Development)
